Kim will provide practical examples of how data and community resources can be used to identify needs and create strategies that promote health and well-being across the community.

This session will focus on empowering young people to take on leadership roles, contributing to the community’s prevention efforts, and promoting healthy lifestyles among their peers.

  1. Recognize the importance of youth involvement in community projects and decision-making processes related to substance use prevention. 

  1. Apply techniques for empowering young people to assume leadership roles within their communities.

  1. Identify effective strategies for empowering parents to build strong family connections, set boundaries, and monitor their children’s activities as part of substance use prevention.
